The MMiT project is designed to improve the management, planning and tracking of essential supplies and equipment from the UK to the MoD’s deployed operations around the world.
The company’s Viewlocity software suite is a supply chain visibility and extended supply chain process monitoring platform which aids in planning, sensing, monitoring and responding to supply chain events. It also optimises supply chain design, logistics and production planning.
The software will enable the Royal Navy, the Army and the Royal Air Force to view and track essential items as they move from the depot to the receiving unit on the field, ensuring timely delivery of operation-critical parts and supplies.
The entire project is expected to be completed by mid-2009.
