Altron has selected
Agilent machine vision technology for inspecting its processes and components.
The Medalist sj5000 Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system will be installed on six fully automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, including an offline one.
The system provides pre- and post-reflow inspection capabilities. It is said to be suited for complex and small printed-circuit-board assemblies, capable of inspecting the smallest 01005 components.
