ARRK has used a combination of computer numerical control (CNC) and rapid plastic processes to aid in the development of a
Lamborghini Reventon.
The company was involved in the development of the first concept car using its hybrid prototyping processes to produce detailed exterior and interior components.
According to the prototype developer, these components had the look and feel of production, as well as required performance characteristics.
The company claims it finished the models within three weeks of receiving the CAD files, and these were sent to Frankfurt for assembly into the concept car.
The first 20 production units will be rolling off the assembly line later in 2008.
