CITECT is integrating its field operations team with
Schneider Electric’s, and has announced it will invest more in research and development.
Schneider Electric is the parent company of Citect. According to the companies, these changes will improve service to customers, while boosting development of its supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) products.
Citect says it will continue to develop both the Vijeo SCADA range, and the CitectSCADA range, as well as other software products. Vijeo is Schneider Electric’s branded version of the software which allows for a complete and integrated hardware and software solution.
The new organisation will come into effect on 1 January 2009.
