The MicroTCA Cube has seven slots, including six Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMC) and one MicroTCA Carrier Hub (MCH)RITTAL has released a stable compact enclosure for rapid industrial applications.
The MicroTCA cube enclosure is said to be the company’s first direct solution for an industrial environment-based MicroTCA OR1.0 specification. It is manufactured from stainless steel and measures 307 by 118 by 285 or 319mm.
It is suitable for space-saving installations needed by machine controllers, and for businesses which operate automation technology applications.
The enclosure can be assembled in a number of ways. It can be mounted onto a support rail fitted directly on the enclosure’s mounting plate, or straight onto the machine itself. Adaptor plates are available as accessories. They have integrated drilled keyholes or brackets for mounting directly on support rails. Both can be fixed to the enclosure’s rear or side panel.
The MicroTCA Cube has seven slots, including six Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMC) and one MicroTCA Carrier Hub (MCH). In MicroTCA, the modular AMC are inserted directly in the backplane. Control, self-diagnosis and switch functions are performed by the MCH.
Heat dissipation is aided by a plug-type fan module with two axial fans and a filter. The enclosure is fully assembled, fitted with a backplane, wired and tested. It is supplied as a standard feature with an integrated AC/DC power pack that has a 250 W output.
