These solutions can help accommodate large volumes of cables and reduce the amount of space taken up by cabling.RITTAL has expanded its range of high-density cable patching accessories with two cable ducts, and new cable-shunting elements for handling and redirecting excess cable lengths.
According to the company, the cable ducts are suited for 1000 and 2000mm high enclosures while the cable-shunting elements can act as radius reducers when redirecting cables.
These solutions can help accommodate large volumes of cables and reduce the amount of space taken up by cabling. This is important in light of space shortages and high property prices.
Cables are guided through the ducts which allows in the best possible use of the available height units without needing to use additional elements.
The manufacturer claims this can increase the density of the connection points by up to 50% to a maximum of 1009 ports per rack, cutting the total investment required.
The products can be attached to mounting angles, to mounting frames and on the side of rack framework. Back-to-back mounting is also possible, allowing the openings in the ducts to be used for routing cables between levels.
