The InduProof keyboards are designed for industries where easy cleaning and disinfection is required, such as the pharmaceutical, medical, chemical and food manufacturing sectors.
The keyboards have a silicone surface said to be wear and tear resistant. A coating on top provides mechanical and chemical resistance.
The silicone mat is attached to a 3mm thick aluminium base plate for an IP68 protection rating. IP68 specifies the units are dust-proof, and can be submerged in up to three metres in liquid.
The peripherals use mechanical short travel switches for the keys, said to provide accurate and tactile data input. They are able to operate in temperatures ranging from negative 40 to 90 degrees Celsius.
