Industrial Ethernet switches for extreme substation applications

The devices are compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE-1613 standards, which specify environmental and EMI immunity requirements for network equipment used in substation automation.PAQWORKS has released a series of IEEE-compliant industrial Ethernet switches with protection against electrical surges and electro-magnetic interference.
The Moxa PowerTrans series can operate in temperatures from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius, without a fan. 
The products is suited for complex and high voltage substations. The units have a modular rackmount design with high optical fibre and Gigabit port density.
The devices are compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE-1613 standards, which specify environmental and EMI immunity requirements for network equipment used in substation automation.
The switches support Turbo Ring, said to guarantee faster network fault recovery, and standard STP or RSTP redundant protocols.
