WORMALD is distributing an inert gas fire suppressant suitable for protecting technological equipment such as those used for automation and control.
The Inergen system consists of natural gases. According to the distributors, it can extinguish fires without harming people or damaging property.
Made up of nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide, the system smothers fires by diluting the oxygen concentration from 21% to 12.5%, eliminating the combustion.
The company also claims the gases do not result in fogging, so people in the protected area can evacuate while breathing easily.
The fire suppressant does not leave behind deposits on the surfaces, eliminating the need for expensive exhaust systems to remove suppressant substances. It is also said to have no polluting effect on the atmosphere.
