Sydney software company runs green technology pilot

SYDNEY-based Supply Chain Consulting says it is partnering with IBM and forty Australian customers in a pilot program to implement strategies for green technology.

Supply Chain Consulting’s CarbonView supply chain optimisation software is being offered by IBM as a part of their Green IT offering. Depending on the results of the pilot program, the software may be rolled out globally.

The company has also entered into a global alliance with Kepner-Tregoe, which will see the software being used to implement and track carbon abatement recommendations on customer sites. Kepner-Tregoe is a consultancy service provider for high emitters such as steel and concrete manufacturers.

According to the green software developer, most companies are taking a wait-and-see approach to Australian environmental legislation.
