INVENSYS Operations Management has launched the ROMeo 5.2 solution for industrial utilities optimisation, built on its SimSci-Esscor optimisation software.
Invensys says the ROMeo 5.2 solution targets large enterprises like refineries which have several options to produce, buy or sell energy to meet the demands of the processing facilities.
According to Invensys, rising energy costs and stringent environmental regulations drive an increased focus on energy efficiency.
The Invensys solution introduces new capabilities and functions that simulate steam turbines, gas turbines, heat recovery system generators, boilers, headers and several others plant utility systems.
