ADVANTA Software says Lowes Petroleum and Lubes Direct have made the transition to its fuel distributors’ software suite to support future growth.

Lowes Petroleum is a major petroleum wholesaler and retailer which services around 9000 private and commercial clients. It has an annual volume of 200m litres and is one of Australia’s largest distributors.

Lubes Direct is the central Mobil Lubricant Distribution warehouse for NSW, and operates in the Sydney metro, mid coast and Central Coast areas.

The original system ran on a UNIX platform and the migration to the Atlas Fuel software means the company has standardised on the Windows platform. This allows for a more graphic user interface-based operation, as well as access to other programs such as Truck Computers.

The transition project was completed on 1 July 2008, within the target dates.
