ARRK says its rapid prototyping services have aided Zodiac’s development of a water treatment product, giving it the edge against competitors.
The TRI from Zodiac is a chlorine generator which has seen increasing demand from the global market since its launch.
At the prototyping stage of the product, CNC presentation models were used to confirm the design. ARRK then used SLA and SLS models to test functionality and water pressure. When the design was approved, the project shifted to the Tooling and Production team.
ARRK says its engineers were faced with numerous tool design challenges when transforming the design of the TRI into a manufacturable product. However, they resolved the problems.
Zodiac required immediate part availability on short notice, so ARRK took two days to complete a small production run in Taiwan. Fourteen production tools were then shipped to a local moulding facility in Australia, where ARRK oversaw the implementation of the tools, ensuring the parts are manufactured according to client quality requirements.
